Artificial intelligence is changing the way accountancy works, and we think it is important that our clients hear directly from us about where we stand and what it means for you.
Where We Stand
At Surrey Hills Accountancy, we are embracing AI and we are genuinely excited about its potential.
We are exploring how increasingly capable AI can support our work, from analysing financial information and identifying patterns, to helping us explore ideas, challenge our thinking and gain new insights.
But here’s the thing AI still can’t do: it can’t sit across the table from you and understand what those numbers mean for your individual business. It doesn’t know which questions matter to you, what is missing from the picture or how your circumstances shape the advice you need.
Knowing which numbers matter, what to ask and how it all applies to you and your business, that takes real experience and judgement.
And that is exactly where our value lies.
What This Means For You
You may already be using AI tools yourself or wondering how all of this changes the advice and service you get from us. so, what can you expect from SHA as we continue to embrace AI?
We will keep combining the sharpest AI tools with the kind of experience and judgement that only comes from years of doing this work, giving you a service AI on its own simply cannot.
AI is not the service; it is one of the tools that helps us deliver it.
What hasn’t changed and never will, is this, our relationships with you, our understanding of your business, the trust you place in us, and the human judgement behind every piece of advice we give, this remains central to what we do.
Technology can support and enhance our work, but it doesn’t replace the accountability, care and insight that come from working with a professional who knows you and your business.

Integrity And Being Human
Ultimately, this comes back to what Surrey Hills Accountancy is all about: integrity and being human.
We are a forward-thinking practice, and we will continue to explore how technology can enhance the service we provide and create even greater value for our clients. But embracing AI does not mean losing the things that matter most.
If a conversation is better had face to face, we will sit down with you. If you would simply rather speak to someone than read a report, we are always at the end of the phone.
That’s not a nice-to-have alongside our service, it is part of it.
AI may change what is possible, but it is the combination of technology, experience and people that creates real value.
This is the future of accountancy as we see, and it is one we are excited to be part of.
If you have any further questions about how we are using AI, or what it means for your service, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your client manager or drop us an email at [email protected].
